This includes outside sprinkler systems. The 2nd meter must be installed after the main meter, as a deduct meter, and can either be hardplumbed on the inside of the property or a portable meter on the outside of the property. 2nd meters shall be purchased and owned by the owner. The property owner is responsible for reading the 2nd meter, along with the main meter, and submitting the readings to the City before the 14th of each month. No sewer adjustment will be issued on the billing without the reading submitted by the 14th• All owners of 2nd meters are required to contact City Hall to schedule a time for the City to get a beginning reading by April 15 and a final reading for the season by October 14 of each year on the 2nd meter. Customers who do not contact City Hall to make this appointment will be charged a $20 . reading fee for the City to attempt to obtain a reading without an appointment. The City assumes no responsibility for lost, stolen or damaged meters. Customers with 2nd meter for irrigation will be charged for total water consumption along with household consumption. Second meters will not be charged sewer consumption for irrigation water.
